FarMoorLocal is operated by Apleo LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company (“we,” “us”). By using farmoorlocal.com you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, not to hide things.
The directory
FarMoorLocal lists businesses in the Fargo-Moorhead metro. Listing information comes from public sources (including OpenStreetMap), from the businesses themselves, and from community submissions. We work to keep it accurate, but we can't guarantee it — hours change, businesses move, people make typos. Confirm the details that matter before you drive across town. We may add, edit, or remove listings at our discretion to keep the directory useful and accurate.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself, give us accurate information, and be a human being. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the site, other users, or these terms.
Claiming a listing
Claiming a listing is a statement that you're authorized to represent that business. We review claims and may approve, reject, or revoke them — including reclaiming a listing if it turns out you weren't authorized. Don't claim businesses that aren't yours to manage.
Content you post
Reviews, photos, descriptions, deals, and events you post remain yours. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute them as part of running the directory (including in search results and previews). You're responsible for what you post:
- Reviews must reflect your genuine experience — no fake reviews, no reviewing your own business, no trashing competitors.
- Only post photos and content you have the right to use.
- Nothing unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or spammy.
Reviews are the opinions of their authors, not ours. We may moderate, remove, or decline any content at our discretion. If you believe content infringes your rights, email us and we'll look at it promptly.
Featured listings & billing
Featured is an optional paid upgrade billed annually through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard's billing portal; featured placement continues through the period you paid for and doesn't renew after cancellation. We sometimes grant complimentary featured placement (for example through invite codes or referrals) — comps are at our discretion and may end or change. One thing that never changes: payment doesn't buy rankings, reviews, or favorable treatment beyond the featured placement described — and it never affects whether critical reviews stay up.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site: no unauthorized access attempts, no bulk scraping of the directory, no interfering with other users, no using the platform to send spam.
Disclaimers & liability
The site is provided “as is.” We're not a party to any transaction between you and a listed business, and we make no warranties about listed businesses, their services, or the accuracy of listing information. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apleo LLC's total liability arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for most users, is zero — the directory is free).
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; material changes get a new effective date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Questions: hello@farmoorlocal.com.
